Waylon's Place

We enjoyed our breakfast was like getting a home-cooked meal! As we sipped on our morning coffee we enjoyed the Beaveres swimming upstream! Grateful for the friendliness and warm welcome! Tha k you for building a beautiful spot to enjoy each other's company and be surrounded in all its natural beauty!!

We went here for the 1st time. It was AMAZING! I am picky with a lot of foods. When I tell you the chicken was delicious, the baked potato was great and the green beans were also amazing, I mean it! My husband got the build your burger and choose the potato salad. I tasted it and instantly knew I will be going back! It reminded me of the way my mom makes my back in Florida. All of my children loved the food and the portions are great! You definitely get full and I even had to take some home. The staff was great! Our waitress was great she interacted with our kids and our grandbaby. We spoke to the Chef to thank him as well . We will be coming back. I see date nights and family nights at Waylon's in our future.

My husband and went here on Wednesday, 1st time under new management. We were greeted and property seated in the outside, screened in patio overlooking the river. I had the grill chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. My husband had the Philly with mash potatoes and gravy, and we shared an order of tots. The food was cooked perfectly? The tots were golden brown. Prices were comparable to any restaurant the style. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars across the board was the maintenance man was working on the patio while we were eating, and my chicken sandwich was served on a giant hamburger bun. It would have been better on a brioche bun or the liking, IMHO. We will definitely be going back. Nice menu, plenty of sides to choose from

Waylon’s Place is a great addition to Townsend and the surrounding communities. The outdoor seating is wonderful to view wildlife while eating a delicious meal. The biscuits & gravy were awesome! As well as the bacon, hash browns and eggs. The staff was very attentive to me and made me feel so welcome. Would recommend this place to any local or traveler.

Great experience dining at Waylon's Place! We came here as we were riding around. I searched "restaurant" on Google and literally just went to the closest place, which was here. I'm glad we did because it was absolutely great. The service was very friendly and got us everything we needed, the food was fresh and tasted fantastic. We ate on the covered patio next to the river, and the atmosphere was amazing, it felt like we were having a picnic. Definitely worth the stop!
