Great experience and will definitely be back!! Prices were reasonable, and portions were generous. Ahmad was very patient with my slow selection process 🫣 and then brought around sample baklava, which was amazing! Clean, quiet, and surprisingly busy for a weekday lunch. The best Mediterranean food in Lexington. We have driven from Richmond to Lexington just to eat at Watan; it’s worth the entire trip. I’ve been here five times (maybe 10?!), brought my entire family multiple times, and will be going back many more times. The prices are also extremely reasonable. The food is delectable and perfectly grilled, the many options are easy to understand, and the service is beyond extraordinary. We’ve had the falafel, the grilled chicken kabob, the chicken shawarma, the rice, lentil soups, the hummus, the baba ghanoush, the tabouli, the grape leaves, the fattoush salad, the baklava, the sandwich wraps. A vegetarian or a carnivore, you’ll absolutely find great options easily. Each one is the best one we’ve had in all of Kentucky: full of flavor, especially the rice

My wife and I split a lunch platter and it was phenomenal. The service was excellent, the gentleman behind the counter gave us a cup of freshly made lentil soup due to the weather. The atmosphere was comfortable and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

Staff is amazing, food as well. The cost is absolutely justified. I only paid $9.99 for the lunch chicken shawarma platter and it came with a piece of fresh baklava. I've traveled the US and this place is top notch. Highly recommend!
