Walled Lake City Library

Very nice library with the small town feel. There is a children's area and a teen book area also.. And study desks also. The librarians were very kind and helpful. I love the events on the event calendar! I am happy I stopped in and look forward to coming back again soon.

"I usually go to the Wixom or Novi libraries because they're bigger, more updated, and overall nicer. But today, I decided to visit the Walled Lake Library. When I arrived, as I always do before starting work, I went to use the restroom to avoid interruptions later. The door was locked, so I asked the librarian if I could use it. She responded, 'Do you *have* to use the restroom? I'd prefer if you didn’t.' After hearing that, I just gathered my things and left. If you’re Black or a person of color, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this library. Instead, try the Wixom or Novi libraries—they’re close by, much more welcoming, and their staff treats everyone kindly, regardless of who you are."

I love the Walled Lake library. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a great audio book collection and a nice children's section. Don't let your library die from under funding. Even with all the technology we have now, nothing beats the fun of going and getting a book from the library. Don't let technology steal that experience from your children.

Loved the make and take, with Elizabeth🩵 She is so sweet and funny. Really enjoyed the time spent with her, with mybsister and friend❤️
