About Wafels & Dinges
It was the summer of 2007, when the King of Belgians, Albert II, got word of soggy “Belgian waffles” in that far away Land of America. They were found in obscure diners, made of pancake batter. “These so called "Belgian" waffles are a disgrace!” So... More

Absolutely delicious! My favorite here is the "WMD", it's a big waffle with bananas, strawberries, Belgian chocolate, and whipped cream. Yum! I also love their ice cream and sundaes, which goes well with their coffee or hot Belgian cocoa. There's plenty of seating and some outdoor seating.
After leaving nearby Central Park, I stopped here to use their restroom and get a fresh coffee. Both were great. The restroom was clean and well maintained & the coffee was hot and delicious. The staff here is friendly and the place is decorated for Halloween. There were some great food options here too, including waffles and ice cream. I am thankful for my stop here and the local that recommended it to me…
This place is wonderful. Beautiful place with a great ambiance, a clean fresh restroom, and great seating. We were a little skeptical when they showed us how small a waffle we'd be getting for the price. But once all the toppings go on the small waffle is actually very filling. The maple syrup on the side is excellent as well. The staff are very friendly and lovely.
It was good. Although I've expected a bigger waffle to go with a Belgian breakfast... Still, it was enough! But a bit pricey - 20 USD for a cup of coffee and a breakfast set you see on the photo. Also, all plates and cutlery are plastic/paper... Still don't get it why NY can't use plates and steel cutlery and just wash it instead of multiplying trash (even recyclable, still avoidable).
Perfect little spot close to the park and Museum of Natural History. The waffles were delicious with tons of options available. The coffee was also wonderful. The restaurant is cozy and warm and staff very friendly!! Perfect stop for a quick breakfast or snack!
