Pop’s Pizza of East Village

Stopped by Pop’s Pizza in the East Village and was really impressed. The pizza was very flavorful and clearly made with care. I had the burrata slice, which came with hot honey and freshly grated Parmesan, and it was excellent. The crust was perfect crispy on the outside with a nice chew and the sauce had a great, well balanced flavor. What really stood out was the burrata. A lot of places serve burrata and it ends up being room temperature or just kind of blended in by the time it hits the table, but here the burrata was cold, and that contrast in temperature with the hot pizza really elevated the whole experience. I ordered two slices of pizza, one with mushrooms and another with burrata and they were absolutely incredible. The tomato sauce’s intense flavor combined with the burrata and honey was sublime. The mushroom one came with caramelized onion, ricotta and rúcula. A spectacular combination. The people that work there are so friendly and kind. Definitely a place I will visit again soon.

The pepperoni pizza slice is amazing. The white slice and the mushroom slice are also unreal. Best slice I’ve had so far in NYC. I always ask for fresh jalapeños on top of the pepperoni slice and they added ricotta + hot honey to every slice. Incredible and such great people!

Pop's Pizza is a pizzeria serving up a menu of slices and pies on Avenue B. super small space -- clean modern decor that has that casual classiness. there's very little seating, but I'd say it's more of a grab-n-go place since there is a steady stream of hungry locals, during the day and night. been here quite a few times to grab a slice and the quality of the pizza is very good. it's evident that a lot of thought and time goes into the pizza at Pop's and it shows in each bite. as a pizza purist (mostly plain slices and hardly anything else), the plain cheese slice hits the spot each time because the slice has a mix of satisfying flavors coming from the crust, sauce, and cheese. the crust is a thin one -- with enough firmness to make each bite firm with a chew...but also light and airy e

Classic NYC slice shop with a friendly, no-frills atmosphere. The pizza was super fresh, with that perfect thin crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. You can really taste the quality. Great spot to grab a quick bite in the East Village.
