Viva Mexico Cantina & Grill

I was visiting Providence and chose this restaurant because it was nearby my hotel. So glad I did as it was the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. Our waiter was super friendly, even brought out extra spicy salsa for my friend. I highly recommend the carne asada. The refried beans were also so so good. I ended my meal with churros which were fried perfectly. I only wish I lived closer to enjoy this restaurant more often!

This place was wonderful! Food came out quickly and was delicious! I got the chicken chimichanga and there was a good amount of chicken with beans and rice inside as well as perfectly melty cheese. The drinks were fantastic and the churros were great! There was so much cinnamon sugar on them with a really good raspberry dip. Plus, the atmosphere was fantastic. Sitting by the window gave the perfect backdrop to dinner.

We randomly stopped by Viva Mexico Cantina for my birthday and I am SO unbelievably happy that we did! It was (simply) THE BEST! The food had good portions and it was delicious!! The overall atmosphere was welcoming and fun! Our waiter, Nagib was exceptional!! The entire wait staff was incredibly efficient. Between speedily clearing off the table or recommending delicious desserts. The homemade flan was highly recommended to us, we tried it and I am here to forward that message! IT WAS DELICIOUS! My overall experience was terrific, I would most definitely stop by here again and I recommend you to do the same! I would consider this one of my top dining experiences ever! Thank you!

Our first experience was tonight and it was great. Came in and sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bar tender Nagib who was extremely attentive. He helped with questions and also gave suggestions. He also was helpful and though there were a number of people at the bar he made sure everything was taken care of. The food was also delicious, the flavor was excellent and tasted fresh. Within walking distance from PPAC we can’t wait to come back.

Festive vibe, fast service, delicious Mexican food and fun refreshing drinks. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant has a nice warm ambiance but we love sitting at the bar. We keep coming back and have not been disappointed, Viva Mexico!
