Vineyard Country Inn

The rooms are large, but a bit dated. One of our rooms had unfinished plaster covering a large section of wall behind a wardrobe. And while you would might expect charming personalized service from a small boutique hotel, due to understanding (non one at desk after 8PM - but no one really available after 6), requests go unfulfilled for hours - or ever - because they can't leave the front desk. Possibly good value, but somewhat disappointing.

While the Inn is close to the center of town it is also right on the main road and traffic is really busy. The room I selected was a king but I did not realize it was on the second floor --- with no elevator. The "breakfast" was really really basic - aside from heating bread in a toaster there was no hot food. -- yogurt, apple juice, some muffins, hard boiled eggs. The room dark, carpet is buckled, furniture is tired. There is a small refrigerator but it has a loud hum. Outside needs help: empty planters or some filled with dead plants, painting needed.

The rooms are enormous and really charming with the fireplaces and duraflame logs, the bed is really comfy and the whole room is spacious and cozy. Also the pool and hot tub are a great addition, particularly great for us because we visited in November and nobody else braved the water and weather. The breakfast room is also beautiful and the breakfast is generous. At the price point, we could not pass up these rooms and we're glad we stayed here in Nov. The staff were all also very friendly and attentive. However, probably because of the size of the rooms, this place seems to attract families. We shared breakfast both days with a group of 8, including 2 screaming toddlers and a man who played the soccer game on full speaker volume from his phone. Not enjoyable, not relaxing, and the staff

I tried to book two nights at this hotel. Their website has lots of problems. Eventually, I managed to go through their booking process. However, after I confirmed and put in my card details I got a message saying that I had not met the minimum stay requirements. There is no information about minimum stay requirements on their appalling excuse for a website. Nevertheless they had charged a deposit to my card. This will be disputed!!! Do not trust this hotel!!!

We stayed at Vineyard Country Inn in St. Helena for two nights and made so many wonderful memories. This place truly completed our Napa Valley trip! Location: The inn is located in the St. Helena area of Napa Valley, which made it very convenient to visit nearby restaurants and wineries. Service: Although the check-in hours are from 4–9pm, we contacted the staff since we were arriving later, and they kindly arranged a smooth self check-in. Also, when we asked if we could briefly use a microwave in the kitchen, they went above and beyond and provided one in our room for us to use comfortably.
