Village Hands Cafe

I have lived in Monroe basically my entire life and it has been a while since we had a café like Village hands. The service is phenomenal and personal. The food is well-made and delicious. There is a waitress named Taylor who goes above and beyond to make sure that your experience is always a great one. If you are ever in Monroe or driving through Monroe, please stop by the village hands ask for a cinnamon roll and their delicious brown sugar hot latte. I promise you will not be disappointed.

This place is so cute and looks like my type of small town regular breakfast joint. I love the atmosphere and the servers are great. The lines and wait times have been pretty long every time I've come in though, even when it's not that busy, so I just try to accept that it's going to take a bit to get my order. The food is good but I think it's a tad pricey for what you get - I always wind up spending about $20 for a standard breakfast that would cost half that price at a diner. I don't mind paying for the atmosphere, or the small business overhead - I would rather, actually - but I think the finished product should match the price point a bit more. The coffee is also great.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Never been, grew up in the Hudson Valley area for 30 years and had no idea about this hidden gem. Food was delicious, coffees were pretty and super tasty, and the atmosphere was so inviting. I love the authenticity and uniqueness of the decor. Staff was friendly and gave you this wholesome vibe where you felt right at home. I am so happy to have found this place and highly recommend it.

We just discovered this quaint and rustic gem in Monroe. Excellent menu. Had a delicious breakfast and, to our surprise, were entertained by a lovely lady playing the harp. What a wonderful way to start our Sunday! Please visit as often as you can. I promise that you will be delighted.

I was just passing through and decided to stop in, as I’ve worked in bagel shops for years and wanted to support a local spot over a commercial chain. I waited quite a while for a $14 croissant sandwich, and honestly, it didn’t live up to the price. I asked for eggs over medium, but they came out crunchy and fried hard. They used cheap sausage links cut in half that weren’t even fried on both sides. The food overall was not exactly what I would expect at this price point. Also, with the dining room mostly empty, the seated customers could hear everything the staff was saying behind the counter… something I dont think they realized.
