Vida Mexicana Wallingford CT

Wanna hear the first time walking in it was nice. They were welcoming. The food was OK felt like I could’ve got a little more for the price. I felt like the price was a little overrated but definitely eatable.

Great Mexican spot! Flight of frozen margaritas to try. For apps, got bacon wrapped shrimp and street corn (asked them to take it off the cob for us). Both were great. Entrees had Vida Molcajete and Al pastor street tacos. Never had Vida Molcajete before, but basically a hot stone bowl with tons of different veggies and proteins. Its piping hot and stays hot the whole meal since it's on a hot stone bowl. It comes with rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream and tortilla. Kinda reminds me of fajitas but piping hot. Al pastor tacos were great. It was classic. Good size, and not dry at all. Very filling meals.

Excellent food at excellent price. Got the margarita flight was great and definitely worth it. Recommend raspberry and lime flavors. Paula was a delight as a waitress. Highly recommend.

We arrived and noticed kids walking out wearing mules, which made us a little hesitant at first. The lighting inside was low and comfortable, and it was nice seeing the servers making fresh guacamole. The chips were okay, though they weren’t warm, and the red salsa tasted close to Tostitos. My Moscow Mule was perfect, but when my wife and I ordered, our food came out in about eight minutes, which made us a little skeptical. Unfortunately, the flavors were bland and the textures all blended together. I had the arroz con pollo and my wife had the quesadillas, both pretty underwhelming. That said, our server was incredibly kind and accommodating, which we appreciated.

It was awesome went there to celebrate 2 birthday the Mariachi band was excellent. They sang beautifully. The food was great. Vegetarian dishes were available. Will definitely be going back and I'm from New Jersey
