It was a real pleasure to speak with someone who truly understands coffee and dives so deeply into the craft — that’s rare today. What makes this place especially unique is that they own their own farm. This is direct trade in its purest form, with full quality control at every stage. Panama Geisha is one of the most complex and flavor-rich coffee varieties in the world, and here it is presented and expressed beautifully. Highly recommended. A unique place where love for the craft truly lives.

Dropped by to check out locally brewed coffee beans and the lady at the counter was kind enough to bring out coffee samples. I was delighted to find that they offered Geisha beans. I ended up getting 3 bags of coffee, which were easy to dial in but I much preferred them prepped as pour-overs. The coffee shop was unassuming from the outside, but was pretty charming inside.

Absolutely delicious coffee, wonderful service and a cute space. The espresso was rich and flavorful, the service friendly and helpful. The space is cozy yet hip. After one experience it’s now my most favorite coffee shop in Virginia. The charming barista explained the beans are from their family farm in Panama and they roast them in house:

Strolling down King, this unassuming little family-owned house of coffee is an oasis of original roasting. One of the best coffees I’ve had in the US- creamy, robust, perfectly roasted and prepared. A must stop in and sip up for coffee lovers ☕️ 💯

Best coffee I’ve had since moving to the USA. I ordered an Oat flat white and it was creamy, the perfect temperature and the flavour of the coffee could come through.
