Verns Bakery

We were recommended Vern's Bakery by locals a little over a year ago and we decided to give him a try and we have been back probably 10x since. Every time we are in the area Vern's is our first and last stop. We took 5 boxes of baked goods home with us this past weekend. Vern is an amazing baker, super friendly and welcoming. We love not only his baked goods but the atmosphere he creates. We sat there chatting and having a pastry and coffee for over an hour on Saturday. We highly recommend you give him a shot if you haven't already!! His baked goods are perfection. We had a blueberry cream cheese pastry for breakfast and it was the perfect balance of blueberry, cream cheese, and sweetness. The fillings and toppings of all the baked goods are the perfect ratio and perfect amount of sugar. T

This is a lovely and very cozy bakery. They’re a hit, so wake up early to catch some of their goodies! The owner is so kind and always smiling. We had the sausage and egg croissant — it was delicious. My only recommendation will be to have more options for drinks but it is nothing that you cannot solve with a cup of Coffee.

We stopped at Vern‘s for breakfast this morning before leaving Hammondsport for Home. Oh my goodness! The best breakfast sandwiches. My husband had egg cheddar bacon. I had feta spinach egg. Great coffee. Great conversation. Vern’s a very talented baker and has such an engaging personality. We will definitely go back next time we’re in Hammondsport.

Vern’s food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is so cozy. Vern himself was very kind and welcoming as soon as we walked in the store! The best place to stop for some cozy yummy treats.

I got the privilege of meeting the owner by picking him up in my cab and taking him home! He is a hoot!! And the two danishes or fritters that I got are amazing!! The apple was delicious! I can't thank him enough and will be visiting again soon!
