Customer Reviews
Velodrome Coffee Company quickly became our favorite coffee spot while staying in Marquette. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, and the woman who made our chai tea lattes was incredibly kind — such a genuine, friendly interaction that set the tone for the whole visit. The drinks were exceptional, crafted with care and full of flavor. It was easily the best coffee experience we had on our trip. The photography from a local artist adds a beautiful, creative touch to the space, making it feel both personal and inspiring. Between the great service, warm atmosphere, and outstanding drinks, Velodrome is an absolute gem. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Coffee and pastries done well. They have some merch and nice spaces. Bright and open today. The waffles were heartier than expected but also the perfect pairing for the coffee.
We stopped by the Marquette location and absolutely loved their seasonal drink, Beach Read—a dreamy combo of espresso, milk, Japanese cherry blossom, orange, and coconut. It’s a collaboration with Read My Lips, the cozy local bookstore, and the flavor was both delicate and refreshing. The café has a welcoming vibe and makes a perfect stop after a lake stroll or bookshop visit.
If you’re into paying premium prices for a side of attitude, this might be the place for you. The staff has a very “you’re bothering us by being here” vibe, which is impressive considering how many nearby coffee shops manage to be friendly and polite at the same time. Pricing is… ambitious. Nearly $9 for a drink, plus $1.50 for an extra shot of espresso—bringing an espresso close to $10. Apparently the attitude is included in the cost. With so many better coffee options in the area, I’ll be spending my money elsewhere and won’t be returning to any of their locations in town.I’m
This place is a great little study spot; pretty quiet & lots of seating. The (seasonal) Fruity Pebble latte was surprisingly good and not too sweet! BF had the coconut latte and enjoyed it as well. I'm not super into "modern" decor but this place balances it well with the wood tables. It is also a little pricey; good as a treat!
