Peter White Public Library

Was really looking forward to accessing FamilySearch here as they are an Affiliate Library, but unfortunately you can only access it from the library's computer stations, not from your own laptop as you can as most other Affiliate Libraries. This made doing research here extremely inconvenient to the point that it was physically uncomfortable, as I had to work with my laptop (which contains all my existing files, notes, and links) right in front or off to the side of the computer station and then switch back and forth between them. I don't know who decided it was a good idea to limit access to the FamilySearch catalog in this way, but it was actually a very bad idea. Peter White is the best library I have ever been too, and it's pretty accessible. They have so many activities for people of all ages. They have an entire downstairs area for children with tons of books and activities every week. They also have a play place for them too. They also have a teen zone with weekly activities and books. In the teen zone they have board games and computers you can use for 3 hours. For adults they have lots of books, study rooms, computers, lots of classes, like tech coaching for seniors, crafting projects and more. PWPL also does a lot of community events and collaborates with local businesses and artists. They have so many great things for every age and it is an amazing place to go and hangout at. I enjoy coming to the PWPL. I use the computers quite often. I am a senior citizen. For 3 years I have been coming to Peter White Library for myself and to bring my grandchildren. In those 3 years, only once has someone from the staff greeted me with a hello. Staff doesn't even acknowledge me with a look or a smile. This is from the children's section, the main floor and upstairs area. It makes one feel invisible and not worth the effort of a greeting.
