Vanderwendes at Dewey

As a big fan of ice cream, I always make it a point to stop by Vanderwende’s when I'm in Dewey Beach—and they never disappoint. Located conveniently right off Highway One, this little ice cream shop serves up some of the best farm-fresh ice cream around. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and to my surprise, it wasn’t very busy. I ordered my go-to flavor: Peanut Butter Fudge Crunch in a waffle cone. It was as amazing as ever—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The staff at Vanderwende’s are consistently friendly and efficient. They hustle to get everyone served quickly, which is always appreciated, especially during the busy summer months. We go here every time we pass through Dewey. The ice cream is delicious! I have loved every single flavor I've ever tried. You have to stop here! Parking can be tough on a busy night, but it is worth it!

Delicious!! Got milkshakes - perfect consistency- thick but drinkable. Great flavor. Coconut had chunks of coconut- yum!!! Best ice cream in town
