Upstate Bowls

The great physicist and thinker Richard Feynman once said “I was born not knowing and have had only a little time to change that here and there." In the case of Açaí bowls, Upstate Bowls was born not knowing anything about them and have not used any of their time here to change that. It tasted like dirt with no fresh fruit on top, a couple flakes of granola, and a spattering of peanut butter in the center that looked like it fell out of a diaper. If you don’t know how to make something that’s fine, just take it off the menu and don’t charge someone $18 for it. I don’t know anything about the other items, but save yourself from the açaí bowl at all costs.

This spot is hands down my go too when around Woodstock for work or on off days and the weekends. If I could eat here daily I would the service is top notch and everyone is so welcoming and kind. I recommend the tofu scramble bowl with the miso eggplant, mushrooms and roasted sweet potato with tahini on top as the sauce(my personal order) absolutely delicious. 😋

I ordered a smoothie, a tofu scramble, and a #3. It took them over 30 min to make for me. There was no one ahead of me. The woman behind the counter helped many others start their order and only started my smoothie after I checked back in after 15 mins. When we came back around for the food, the #3 was cold, and the tofu scramble wrap was a greasy mess i could not pick up because it wasn't cut all the way through and literally just fell apart. I had to go back in the store and ask them to put it in a different wrap to eat it after spending $50 on food and waiting over that amount of time for what we received I will never come back. The clerk was very nice though so I will give her that so thank you for your politeness.

I'm in love with their bowls and make a point of going whenever I'm in the area. My favorite is the Salmon Goddess bowl and the latkes so good ♥️😋 I'm hoping they expand at some point and come down state 😉😊

This place is in the grocery store (no seating available). The service was friendly but we were there around peak lunch time and some of there toppings and sauces were already used up. There signage wasn't clear and a couple of members in our party were confused about what bases and proteins were available (bases: white rice, brown rice, quinoa, red cabbage, variety of greens). I tried the brown rice but it wasn't well prepared and felt under cooked. The chicken and toppings were good though.
