The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream

I had planned on going back to Woodstock for Christmas to watch the Christmas Eve parade and for a winter drive around the Catskills the next morning and had wanted to return to the Woodstock Inn at Millstream where I had stayed nine years earlier. ||I have to say that the rooms and the service and the hospitality could not have been nicer and made for a more pleasant stay. Angela, one of the managers made the stay so welcoming from the moment I arrived.||I had gotten there early and Angela had my room ready for me so that I could settle in before the parade. I unpacked my things and changed clothes for the parade and church service after that.||After I settle in, I went to the office for afternoon snacks, which were small pastries, pretzels and coffee, tea and hot chocolate. My wife and I stayed here for an evening a couple of weeks ago, and we really enjoyed the property! It was scenic, only a few minutes from downtown, the room was very clean, they had kind staff and a solid continental breakfast. All good, especially for the price. I do have a few critiques though: 1. The rooms are VERY small. We stayed in room #10. It was pretty much just big enough to fit a queen size bed, a small desk and a bedside table. I knew they were small based on the description on the website, but this was even smaller than I anticipated. 2. The bathroom layout left a bit to be desired. I'm a bigger person, and the toilet is kinda wedged in perpendicular and close to the sink. So I had to kinda curl around the sink in order to sit down and use the toilet. 3. The bed is incred

Stayed here for a weekend while in town. It’s an absolutely gorgeous, serene location. The room was lovely and staff were helpful and friendly. There is a nice continental breakfast provided and snacks in the late afternoon. It’s the perfect place to stay while visiting Woodstock and it’s only a short 5–10 minute walk into the center of town. Outdoor seating is provided by the stream where one can enjoy the tranquil setting.

The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream is a magical little place. It was my first time staying there, and I really just wanted to swim in the stream a whole lot. Which I did and I found it delightful. It was unseasonably cold for August a day or two while I was there, but I still swam daily. The water is very clear. And just sitting and listening to the water and the sounds of insects from the variety of chairs and hammocks is so calming and pleasant. It’s a very short walk into town. I ate several times at the Garden Café, which is the most incredibly lovely place to have dinner at twilight. The rooms are small, but charming and have everything you need. I particularly appreciate the vintage tile in the standard rooms and the screens on the windows so that they can be left open as muc

Wonderful stay. Clean and comfortable rooms. Attentive staff (a rarity these days). Nice breakfast. Short walk to town. Scenic view of stream. Lies within a neighborhood, but still quant. I recommend.
