My husband and I just returned from a long Thanksgiving weekend away at the Woodstock Country Inn. From my first night there I was already wondering when we could come back.||||The house itself is lovely, and each room has a private porch or terrace. It's so peaceful and quiet and set back from the road by a long driveway, so it feels like a true retreat. We opted for the White Room, mainly for the king-size bed, and we loved it. Even though it was cold, we spent a good deal of time on the terrace just gazing at the mountain vista. I've been to yoga retreats where I didn't feel as serene and relaxed as I did on this trip.||||Also, if you have allergies, this is THE PLACE to book. I have really terrible allergies to dogs, cats, etc. and when I looked at the reviews for other Woodstock B&B's

This was my first Bed and Breakfast stay and it surpassed our expectations. I chose this B&B for the view and was not disappointed. There is also a pretty lake nearby that I walked to. Also it is close to Tinker Street. During my stay I enjoyed the salt water pool, rested in a hammock, looked at the many art books in the common area, sketched and painted a little, and had a super comfy sleep in the bed in the White Room. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. I requested French toast and was also served fresh orange juice and blueberries from the garden. The breakfast table is set up near the window where you can watch the butterflies hop from plant to plant. Carol the owner was very sweet and I enjoyed listening to her stories over the years as a bed and breakfast owner. And to h

Took an impromptu trip to the Catskills and booked a room at the Woodstock Country Inn without researching the B&B or area. WOW...what a lovely surprise!! The house itself and history were so charming. The salt-water pool and lounge chairs were the ultimate respite from the city. The sound of the leaves rustling in the breeze, the sight of the rolling hills and the overall landscape was simply breathtaking. It was all just so incredibly romantic! Perhaps the most rewarding take-away for us was the service. Carol and her assistant were simply lovely and the breakfast they provided was scrumptious. The Woodstock Country Inn is our new refuge. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I love to stay at the Woodstock Country Inn. We live in NYC and come back almost every year. Carol turned this beautiful, historic farmhouse into a home away from home. Each room offers its unique approach to a tranquil Catskills experience, a beautifully preserved turn-of-the-century feel, gorgeous views, amazing food, and best of all, true hospitality. Our favorite room is "Away From It All", just heaven, a closed in front patio and a private back porch to experience the vast expanse of hills, trees, mountains. For the first few years, I didn't want to write a review, because I didn't want too many people to know about this jewel. Paintings by the original owner, a well-known artist, hang throughout the house. Carol is also a writer, and one of the best story tellers I've

My partner and I just enjoyed the loveliest weekend at the Woodstock Country Inn! The exquisite beauty of the surrounding landscape and the gorgeous interior of the farmhouse would have been enough to make this B&B delightful. But the true highlight of our stay was the hospitality. We sheepishly confessed to be vegans (my partner's also gluten-free), and far from being daunted by the restriction, Tara enthusiastically prepared delicious breakfasts for us. Both Tara and Carol are kind, deeply warm people and master storytellers. They immediately put us at ease and their company was a joy. We were sorry to leave and can't wait to return! We'd also highly recommend this location for other queer couples looking for LGBT friendly accommodations.
