Upshur County Library

We really love coming to this library. It's well laid out and kept clean, cozy, and fun. Very welcoming atmosphere. Staff are pleasant and helpful. There are separate areas for the general library, toddlers, kids, and teens.

Upshur County Library is a quaint well kempt building with lots of windows and natural light. Used books available for sale in the foyer. Upon entering, you will see an impressive enclosed area for toddlers and children. The play area provides an abundance of learning toys. There is a cozy Tween and Teen section for ages 12 to 18 years of age. In this section there are colorful floor rugs with an array of seating options from ottomans, bean bags, stools, as well as, traditional chairs. The library provides free internet access and is equipped with free computer stations and the capability to print out documents in color or black and white for a nominal fee. Friendly employees and the library is well laid out for browsing when trying to find a book or comfortable if you want to sit and read for a while. Great children's areas. Extremely quiet areas for adults to sit and enjoy a book, magazine or the daily paper. Also Nice places to work with a computer.

Very clean and welcoming environment. All staff was super friendly, helpful and kind to the kids. They gave a detailed explanation of the summer reading program and goodie bags. We will be back asap!
