Their baked goods are consistently delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite feels thoughtfully crafted, whether you’re grabbing a pastry, bread, or something sweet. And the bonus? They have froyo! 🍦 Smooth, refreshing, and the perfect complement to their bakery offerings. It’s such a great touch and makes Upper Crest a go-to spot whether you’re in the mood for a treat, dessert, or just something to brighten your day. Some of my favorite things from this bakery are the chocolate or cinnamon babka, apple fritter, chocolate croissant, savory scone, and bread pudding. Their selection of even more items is fantastic. I also love that they are regulars at the Winters Farmers Market on Sundays from ~April to October! The staff are all so kind and brighten my day. :)

I really like this quaint bakery in the downtown part of Winters California. It seems like it’s perfectly located so that students and families can take advantage of its delicious offerings. They have so many good things to eat here. It would be really hard to go wrong.

Once again serendipity strikes! The town of Winters is the location of Putah Creek, a fly fishing location near Davis, California. Winters is also the location of Upper Crust Baking - a bakery owned by a young couple, already in business in a nearby town, that has taken over a bakery business, and is offering a really outstanding selection of really well made baked goods. Extremely good croissants, tarts, and breads. I talked with a really sharp, personable young woman who was the manager there. If she represents the bakery like that all the time, they will go far. So will she. There’s a full bakery in the rear that can be seen through the glass. Much of the products are made there, some are brought by the manager early in the morning each day. I enjoy walking into the bakery and admire its clean and welcoming feeling. Their wood decor is appropriately designed, tailored and kept clean. Its do quaint and neat. The service is stupendous, offering cautious and knowledgeable insight. New added items are a great selection. These include frozen yogurt with an assortment of toppings and coffee specialty drinks. It's a perfect atmosphere to relax in sipping on coffee waiting while my car gets serviced at Pisani's.
