As a commuter I’m disgusted. With all of the educated people here and nobody sees how the parking situation across campus is a punishment for the poor. How many lots do commuters have vs. students who live on campus?? How many of the supposed commuter lots have shared parking between both groups?? Looking at those lots you’ll see a disproportionate amount of parking; commuters scouring for a spot meanwhile students living on campus have ample spots. Today I was extra mortified to see that tractors were parked in commuter parking, taking at least 8 spots when there was so much resident parking available. I get what you’re doing Umass; I pay $256 for a parking pass I can barely use. And you purposely don’t have ample commuter parking because how else would you make up the lost income from me

I'm a CVPA Alumni, Class of 2020, and the art professors I had at UMass really helped me to develop my own personal style, which is something that I struggled with in high school. They listened and they cared. Shoutout to Bruce Maddocks in particular, he was the best! Loved that I could also join the 2 campus drama clubs, which IMO absolutely made my college experience because I landed leads in both my freshman and senior plays/musicals. Don't overlook this place.

I do not recommend. Kids went to the school and graduated. From admissions to orientation to advisors are incompetent. Go to a community college. At least if staffing messes up there you can blame lack of funding. Orientation, there was hazing like activities. Advisors are useless after sophomore year. Almost like they forgot how to communicate to their students on what classes are required or missing for graduation. So then it's not a surprise that a large portion of the computer science students need to take summer classes and delaying their graduation. Then they "forget" to send degrees out. I've never seen such ineptitude from what I assume are smart people.

Beautiful University & always plenty of parking! Easy access to get too n deffenitly recommend checking it out.
