Apponagansett Beach

The two separate playgrounds are excellent. They both have the soft ground material, lots of different climbing and sliding features The beach is small but nice. Nice clean restrooms

Apponagansett Beach is the perfect spot to soak up summer! The park is spacious, scenic, and ideal for relaxing by the water or spending quality time with friends and family. The views are absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset. One of the highlights is the nearby ice cream stand—seriously the best around! The staff is always kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I had an amazing weekend here with my friends, and it would be a great place for a family reunion or cookout. A true hidden gem for summer fun!

I have been to this beach area a few times previously but I decided today to write my review. Apponagansett Beach is in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts. It is just across the Padanaram Causeway Bridge from the Padanaram Village of Dartmouth. Padanaram has a little historical significance of its own and looks like the idealized New England small town on the water. There are several small shops, restaurants and at least one ice cream parlor/store. After crossing the bridge from the north, one approaches the boat landing portion of the Apponagansett Beach area that has more than adequate parking. Next is the beach area that includes a separate parking area from the boat landing, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, a children's playground and a separate children's swing area. Then

Amazing playground by the sea. Ten bucks for parking per day is a little steep but I think you get what you pay for with such a great playground and public bathrooms open during the summer.

This is a great place! You have food, ice cream, clean bathrooms, lifeguard on duty and the beach is clean. My kids also love the park area. Overall I give this place a 5 start!!!
