Tailgate Sports Bar & Grill Dartmouth

My husband and I stopped by here after running some errands. It's a sports bar, so there are sports decorations everywhere but not overwhelmingly so. I did chuckle at the Larry Bird poster in the entrance because my Dad used to be obsessed with him. You don't see that in sports bars often, all shiny and new. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We were seated immediately even though there was hardly anyone in the place. I tried the kale soup and it was good. I also ate the Tailgate wrap. It was good, but it could've used more meat. I also got the red sangria. I didn't find it any different than other sangria I've had. It was good. Tried Sports Bar & Grill for the first time. Ordered takeout. Went with Nachos, Philly cheesesteak sub, Flatbread hot honey and a meat lovers pizza. Thought everything was okay. The Nachos come with a crema sauce on the side. The hot honey Flatbread comes with Pepperoni and ricotta with a drizzle of hot honey. It was okay, the crust itself wasn't that impressive. The meatlovers pizza was a little bland and the sauce was light. I added some red pepper flakes and it helped. I'd swap out the hamburg for bacon. The wife got the Philly cheesesteak and like it. I gave it a try and thought it was okay. Great bar setting. Take out was picked up in the front. Food was hot, order was correct and on-time. Transaction was smooth. Will likely eat on-site next time and try something different.

It's kind of the same sports pub atmosphere but the food is good. The pizzas are about 10 inches the potato skins were great. 4 in an order. Reasonably priced. And they had complimentary chips and salsa.

Tried for the first time. Ordered a few pizzas fried mozzarella (frozen mozzarella sticks) and a steak sandwich. Pizza was very dry and lacked flavor and sauce. I was hoping for a bar pizza taste. It was edible but I wouldn’t go back. I walked in and there were 6 people at the bar. It took close to 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter to help me. I paid in cash and wasn’t given a cash discount like I read in a different post as something they offer. In fact I wasn’t even given my change just the bills.

In 39 years I maybe sent back 1 plate... Tonight was two, there were four of us, utensils were missing for half of the table, drinks made very inconsistently, pizza was very bland, menu was super generic with little character. Let's start at the appetizers. Potato skins are okay, We ordered boneless tenders they brought us out wings. I ordered fried clam strips they weren't cooked through they were lukewarm and mushy. Then I ordered a pizza to replace it, thinking who can mess this up. Crust was less than desirable and very little taste other than the pepperoni, it was listed as a hot honey with a drizzle there was none the ricotta was more of a cream cheese than anything. Another person got pasta, it wasn't cooked through sauce was ok though. Another got pizza as well just a cheese b
