Ulysses Philomathic Library

The Ulysses Philomathic Library is a public library on Main Street in the village of Trumansburg. Philomathic means "love of learning" and our small town library does a wonderful job in living up to that name. A wonderful resource for our community!

We love this library so much! The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the resources surprising for the size - when we first moved here and had nothing, we came several times a week to use the computer and printer, get a recycling sticker, enjoy children's programs, borrow ukuleles.... and books, too!

We LOVE our village library! It's nice to sit in the comfy chairs next to the fireplace and read for a bit! They have computers for anyone to use as well as story hours for children.

The Ulysses Library provides a warm and welcoming environment, and of course, lots of good books! I greatly appreciated the opportunity to give a book talk on my novel, 'Geechee Girls, in October to a small and earnest group that included the Trumansburg High School Creative Writing Class. This is what a library is supposed to be! Plenty of resources, knowledgeable staff, topped off with a warm welcoming heart. One of the best libraries I've visited.
