We had an amazing experience at Tupelo Honey! From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—special shout-out to Brayden, who was friendly, attentive, and made our visit truly memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich and the pancakes —both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we loved every bite. Highly recommend this spot for great Southern-style food and exceptional service!
We enjoyed Tupelo Honey. The food was good, especially the appetizers like the fried okra and brussel sprouts. The fries were also very good. The peach jam for the biscuits was well done. The fry sauce (mayo, vinegar, ketchup) was great also. We had great service with Avery as our waitress and didn't wait very long for our food. We made a reservation easily online but it was not too crowded anyway. The entrees were good but not anything too special. It was a little confusing finding the escalator to get upstairs since the restaurant is on the second floor. The menu is well labeled for gluten free items, but no dairy free options clearly labeled.
It's official. I now have a new favorite restaurant in downtown Boise and it's Tupelo HSK. I must admit I'm not that wild about "second floor" locations and prefer to watch pedestrian traffic while I dine unless there are better views from a higher seating location but the staff and food more than make up for that knit-pickey preference of mine. The GM named Rami is a wonderful young man who made us feel immediately welcomed and appreciated. He met us at the door and made us feel truly welcomed the minute we crossed the threshold. On top of that, our server named Charis was/is an absolute gem. Our entire party of 5 fell in love with her and her outrageously upbeat demeanor and attention to our needs. When I return, and trust me I will return, I will go my best to fit in her section again.
We stopped by Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar while visiting Idaho for the first time and overall had a really good experience. The food was delicious, well prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere was excellent too.. the restaurant is beautifully designed and made for a very enjoyable dining setting. The only downsides were a few service hiccups. It took a while for our food to arrive and we had to ask twice for water and also for a glass for my beer. These were small things but still worth mentioning. That said, the quality of the food and the great vibe of the place made it a worthwhile stop. We'd definitely consider coming back the next time we're in town.
You don’t ease into Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar — you’re pulled in by smell first. Something warm, sweet, and savory all at once. The kind of aroma that bypasses logic and goes straight to memory, even if you didn’t grow up anywhere near the South. The structure of the place feels relaxed on purpose. People settle in quickly, like they’ve been here before, even if they haven’t. Conversations stretch. Plates arrive generous and unapologetic. This is comfort food that isn’t shy about being comforting. Fried chicken with a crunch that actually matters. Biscuits that don’t pretend to be a side dish — they’re a statement. Honey that somehow tastes like it knows what it’s doing. Then there’s the contrast I didn’t expect: despite the richness, nothing feels heavy in spirit. You don’t ge
