Tsukira Ramen

Really like the ramen place. All the stalls are nice and friendly. Food portion and quality is great. I especially like the spicy miso Tsukemen as it has rich flavor and not oily at all. The pork rice is also very delicious. The BOGO appetizer is a great deal too.

Tsukira Ramen is part of 808 Zone: Same owners / chefs. 808 Zone is the actual venue, and does Omakase 3 nights a week. However DOZO SUSHI shows up on your card statement, so don't be alarmed, it's the same place....I know, I know it's a bit confusing. I'm not certain if they are going to turn the rest of the venue into a dedicated Ramen restaurant... They are still experimenting and testing things out. Some very hard working and honest folks. Very friendly and family like atmosphere. Very nice Tsukemen, the broth is thick, rich and warm, noodles are perfectly cooked, thick and chewy. I ordered cold noodles with hot broth, which is the traditional way of having Tsukemen, but they also provide in warm or hot noodles on request. The fish powder is a big plus, remind me of the time when I had Tsukemen in Tokyo, very authentic. The heating for the broth was very thoughtful, but it turned out to be a bit too high to dip the noodles, I suggest to let the customers know and provide it on request. The lady was very polite and kind, and gave very detailed instructions and explanations for eating Tsukemen, the atmosphere was also very pleasant, great for group and coming alone. Wow! I am so happy to have this authentic ramen place in Foster City!! I came here with friends for their soft opening. Their menu was limited, and they will be adding items in the future. For the soft opening, they had three types of ramen available: classic tonkatsu, tsukemen (soupless ramen that you dip in broth), and aburasoba (soupless ramen that you dip in sauce, not soba!) Each of us got a different dish and they were all fantastic!! I cannot believe how delicious the ramen was, so fresh tasting with high quality ingredients. We will most definitely be back to try their expanded menu with black garlic ramen and seafood tsukemen!! Loved this place. ❤️

New ramen place run by a very sweet couple! Easily one of the best lunch options close to work. Vegetarian ramen was impressively savory and creamy. Shrimp skewers were fresh and crispy. BOGO 50% off for appetizers when you dine in!
