Akizu Sushi Bar & Grill

A small restaurant that holds a wonderful culinary surprise! The waiter was very welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent and served quickly, and the presentation was original and refined. As a French visitor and a lover of good sushi/maki, I highly recommend it! A truly great place to eat!

Sushi is what we went for, ok, but nothing special - sashimi good, CA rolls the now traditional no crab and kind of dry (no mayo/sauce mix, just phony crab), not impressed by spider roll. Service was the positive point here - friendly & attentive.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Place was neat, music was good and the food was fresh and delicious. The server was attentive and nice, and our order came fast. Worth the drive into this tucked away plaza in Foster City. Will definitely come again!

Update: We had lunch today and got their lunch special Bento box (many to choose from starting at $15.95). Our bento box had salmon teriyaki, rice, salad, vegetable and one prawn tempura, 3 sashimi and miso soup ($22.95). We also ordered the Rainbow Blossom Roll ($17). Everything was simply delicious. The bento box had a good amount of food for the price. The sashimi melted in your mouth. The tempuras were fried perfectly and didn't ooze oil everywhere and also a good amount. The miso soup was also delicious. The salmon teriyaki piece wasn't huge but absolutely acceptable for the price. The Rainbow Blossom Roll was also very good and had the perfect amount of fish to rice ratio and drizzle of their special sauce.
