True BBQ

Amazing food! Never had hash and rice until today but it was delicious! The employees are super friendly and gave us some samples of food. All the sauces are amazingggg

2-28-26 I order two plates for me & my family had been seeing this place for sometime now so decided to stop by on a nice Saturday. Staff was very friendly. Ordered a large rib plate(4 bones) ribs was fairly dry little flavor baked beans taste right out the can. Macaroni & cheese was very plain no cheese really hash & rice very mushy. Second plate I ordered was a turkey wing plate got macaroni & cheese for one side & collard greens for the other this plate was my wife’s plate she mentioned the turkey wing was dry try to get me to try it I didn’t want to try it said her greens was canned greens just put onto her plate both of our macaroni & cheese sides were alike along with the mushy hash & rice. Also ordered two hotdogs that was the star of the show. Altogether I spent $54 just to end up

Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. It felt like my grandparents house inside the building and I was immediately greeted by very friendly staff. I got the small chopped BBQ plate and it was delicious; it came with a sizable scoop of chopped pork, hash and rice, and two sides. The pork was so tender and tasty by itself you can eat it without any sauce, however the sauces were delicious too. I generally prefer mustard base sauces but the Sexy Lady sauce (tomato base) was just as good. And for the hash, this place is known for it and its obvious why, once you try it. Great sweet tea as well. If you want barbecue I definitely recommend checking this place out.

I was in route to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport and I need a "real" meal prior to departure. I stopped in and ordered the BBQ chicken dinner which came with two sides as well as hash and rice. The chicken has a great smoke flavor, is very tender and cooked to perfection. The side were great as well. I opted for the mustard base sauce which has the perfect balance of seasonings. The staff was courteous and my order was prepared quickly.

We are visiting from DFW and wanted to try South Carolina BBQ from a small local business. We read reviews and wanted to see what all the fuss was about True BBQ, and Im glad we did. We were pleasantly surprised they had indoor seating/dining room because we looked on the website ahead of time and it said it was carry out only. We bought a platter of chop, hash & rice, greens and baked beans with mustard bbq sauce. Very good and customer service was outstanding. If you want to support a small business drive out to West Columbia Triangle Angle City, it doesn't disappoint!.
