Customer Reviews
The Customer service was great! It felt genuine and friendly. I ordered the hand breaded chicken fried steak with loaded mash and candied carrots. It was delicious! The carrots and fried steak were my favorite though. If you like cooked carrots and/or sweet potatoes I'd recommend you order the carrots. They we perfectly cooked and somehow they seemed naturally sweet. My friend ordered the loaded baked potato with chopped brisket. It comes with cheese but she ordered sour cream, pickles, jalapeños, bacon and green chillies. We also ordered catfish nuggets. I wish they were fried a little harder but they were fresh, battered in cornmeal. I would love to try their dessert the next time I visit!
Danielle was an excellent server. I had the 8oz sirloin med-rare. My friend had the steakhouse cheeseburger. Everything was cooked to our liking. Interesting tidbit about the place… it used to be a brothel. Original flooring and original bar. See photos
Amazing BBQ stop in a little town! We had our dog so we ordered the food to go and ate it at a park table on the lake. The staff were so kind and made it easy to order our food to go. The wait was a little long but that’s BBQ and it was worth the wait! I got the pulled pork sandwich and the meat was tender and delicious! Do wish it had more BBQ sauce on it because that sauce was great! We shared the fried pickles and those were perfectly crispy and the ranch was tangy! We devoured our food quickly, finger licking good! I would come back here in a heart beat!
Great find for dinner! Service was welcoming and fast. A server even stopped to offer our baby some cucumber slices while we were waiting for our table which was very kind. Food was delicious - we shared the BBQ platter with pulled pork, ribs, BBQ beans, and potato salad. Good amount of food for 2 people. The ribs were flavorful and fall-off-the bone, the pulled pork was OK. BBQ beans and potato salad were both good. They also provide 2 BBQ sauces - Texas style with hot and regular. Waited at the bar to grab some drinks before our table was ready and drinks were strong. Large restaurant with plenty of seating. Our hotel even recommended it.
An absolutely necessary stop when in Trinidad. You will be rewarded with a superb meal, friendly attentive service, a menu so varied that it takes 5-10 minutes to read, and an atmosphere right out of the Wild West. I have had their wonderful breaded catfish twice, now, and it is excellent. You get two sides in addition to your main choice and I found it difficult because so many sides looked great. I settled upon mashed potatoes with brown gravy (or white) and cole slaw. Both made the meal a feast.
