The Well Taproom Kitchen

Took a wrong turn a few hours outside of Omaha on my way to Arizona and ended up in this sleepy town of Trinidad Colorado. This place is amazing. The hotel above the tap room is all original from 1888. All the rooms are clean and comfortable with a total saloon vibe. The downstairs taproom has karaoke on Wednesdays, open Mic on Thursdays, and music on the weekends. You get a welcome drink from their amazing selection of beers that are self serve. The entire building is all paperless and environmentally friendly. This will definitely be a destination in the future. Don’t sleep on this place, totally worth a detour

The best thing to happen to Trinidad since the invention of the train. They have multiple stages and hang out areas for music or parties, a pour your own beer tap system with the best selection in town, and the new revamped menu is easily some of the best food in a hundred mile radius. Also…did i mention, it’s a hotel, with quaint but modern style and mountain view’s. This hidden Gem is definitely a diamond in the rough, and must stay in southern colorado! if you are coming from New mexico, or heading to santa fe Meow Wolf from denver, this is a no brainer, come stay at the The Well, you won’t regret it! did i mention the owners are two of the coolest and nicest people i’ve ever met, there I did now.

So much to love about this place-- rotating beer selection, the great food, games, comfy couches, outdoor deck and patio, friendly staff and owners, DJs, comedy, karaoke, drag, open mic. The historic hotel rooms upstairs make for a great local getaway during an event or overflow for visiting family. The occasional basement dance party or rock show have become part of local legend so go if you have a chance. Always a great time at The Well!

When we're thinking about going downtown Trinidad THIS is always on the list - never disappoints - love the self-serve beverage system because you can try a little bit of a lot of really good beverages things. Highly Recommend.
