Town of islip garbage collectors guys the pass by sugarwood ln in central islip very rude we moved here a month ago and when they came to collect garbage today it's in the front my dad went outside to see why they didnt collect our garbage they said we told you and got into the truck and left my dad suffers from lung cancer, COPD and alzheimer's. We have 2 sick people in the house if you ain't gonna do your job dont sign up for it

I've only had one experience so far and it was quite positive. After erroneously calling suffolk sewers regarding a sewer drainage issue/flooding problem on my block, I was referred to the Islip DPW. After an initial discussion I was transferred to Alicia, who listened to the concerns my neighbors and I have and agreed to send a crew to assess for any blockages/obstructions and then review potential further improvement possibilities in a subsequent rainfall. I'm hopeful they will do what they said they will which would significantly reduce the high risk of property damage we've been facing during even moderate rainfall.

Town of Islip is horrible. We have had to call every week for the past 4 weeks for garbage pickup. We are told they have notified the sanitation supervisor but still have to call to get our garbage on our block removed.

All they care about is taking your money try to get something done in the town it’s like calling from Moses to come out from the sky! Town of Islip sucks , I never saw a town sold this organized in my life and I live in Merrick and other places also nothing worse than Islip town .

The worst dpw on the island. They are lazy, incompetent, do the below bare minimum, and do not care whatsoever. They will push a work order off time and time again. From secretaries to the supervisors they are all rude and will not complete any work orders.
