Solid yakitori spot in the West Village. The place is small and cozy with a really chill vibe. Great for a casual night out or grabbing a few skewers and drinks with friends. We ordered a bunch of skewers and everything was cooked really well. The tsukune was juicy, kawa was nice and crispy, and the momo with scallion was simple but super flavorful. I also liked the hiza nankotsu for the crunch. The teba and ebi were both great too. The grilled veggies like eggplant and zucchini were surprisingly good and a nice break between the meat skewers. Tako wasa had a nice kick as well. Drinks were solid! We had a couple Suntory drafts and they paired perfectly with the skewers. Also worth noting their happy hour (Mon–Thu 4–5:30pm) is a pretty good deal for this area. Definitely a spot I’d com
冬はやっぱり焼き鳥。 炭火の香りだけで幸せです Absolutely loved this yakitori spot. We ordered chicken skin, thigh, wing, gizzard, cartilage, meatballs, pork belly, and beef. You can choose between sauce or salt. I tried both for the chicken skin, the sauce keeps it juicy and glossy, while the salt version is drier, crispier, and extra fragrant. For most skewers (except the liver), I actually preferred the sweet tare glaze. Don’t skip the grilled zucchini with extra mayo on top. The roe and mayo burst together with the juicy zucchini in your mouth (just be careful, it’s hot!). Even though it’s a yakitori specialty place, the mains are solid too. The udon is coated in that rich, creamy sauce with bits of bacon, onion, and mushroom.
One of the best yakitori spots I've been to! Every skewer is grilled perfectly with amazing flavor and a great balance of seasoning. The ingredients taste fresh, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is friendly and attentive. Their main dishes are also excellent-the beef bowl and the eel rice are both highly recommended. A must-try if you love quality yakitori and comforting Japanese dishes. I'l definitely be coming back!
Found my new late-night sanctuary! Torizaku in West Village is perfect for those who crave authentic charcoal-grilled skewers with a modern twist. The highlight of the night was the Drum Wing—stuffed with juicy shrimp paste, it’s a total flavor bomb! The Mentaiko Udon was incredibly creamy and satisfying, and you can’t go wrong with their Signature Yakitori selections. Cozy vibes, great sake, and amazing food. If you’re a fan of Japanese comfort food, this spot needs to be on your list.
Such a comforting yakitori spot with really solid food. The skewers are flavorful and cooked just right — especially the Hamachi, which is a must. Everything we tried, from the mushrooms to the ramen and unagi Don, was satisfying and well done. Simple, delicious, and very easy to come back to.
