Torch Bar and Grill

I really wanted to love this venue for our rehearsal dinner, but overall the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Communication: From the start, communication was difficult. I had to reach out multiple times (2–3 emails each time) just to get a response. When I did hear back, they often only answered one of my questions or gave vague responses that didn’t clarify anything. Day of the event: We were told ahead of time that we could decide on the day whether to hold our dinner inside or outside depending on the weather. However, when we arrived, the outside bar (which we were told would be open) was closed, and the one staff member on duty talked us into holding it inside — not that we had much of a choice at that point. Off to a good start! A nice menu with a good variety between entrees, handheld and apps. The service was excellent and the Percy’s are good. The wrap was good and the pork chop was excellent

Yeesh. We expected good food considering the reviews were all 5 stars and it looks nice, but we spent over $80 and it was all terrible. The “medium” burger was charred and inedible, the chicken sandwich had one slice of bacon, the poutine had no flavor, the “trashcan” nachos were just cheese and tomatoes, and onions… when we complained they took 3 drinks off, instead of the burger that wasn’t even eaten? None of the chef specialties were available. Very disappointing.

I'll be coming back for sure. The food was great and the music was very nice. I would certainly take the time if you're in geneseo to grab a bite to eat here. I didn't exactly do my research in the check out line, and missed the fact this is on a golf course. It had a great looking menu for adults and a few kids items so it fit the bill. Won’t be coming back. Had a bad experience a few weeks ago but figured we would try again. Same awful experience. Staff is rude and unprofessional and food was bland. It’s a shame it’s such a beautiful location on such a nice course. Save your time and money.
