Tookies and Treats Bakery Shop

I had a great experience with Tookies and Treats. Located in the heart of the Ellenton Outlets, you could smell the sweetness of the bakery as you walk up to the store. The bakery is decorated simply but with modern touches, and showcases all of their offerings - from coffees to cakes to cookies and cupcakes. What’s even better, they offer vegan and gluten free options. For our particular visit, I had ordered a cupcake and chocolate covered strawberry arrangement for Valentine’s Day in advance. Tookies didn’t disappoint. They were able to make gluten-free heart shaped cupcakes, as well as the chocolate covered strawberries. We ordered vanilla, strawberry and red velvet as the flavors. Recently, I celebrated my birthday. I hadn't planned to have a cake, and there is no longer a better half to do this type of thing for me. But what I generally lack in planning, I make up for in spontaneity. So, the day before my birthday (why not), I decided to seek out the best local baked dessert to celebrate. My online search eventually led me to Tookies and Treats. Tookies advertises cake squares on their site, so my thought was to see what they had in stock, and then my son (along for the adventure) and I would celebrate with our chosen flavors. I happened upon Tookies & Treats while on my way to Anna Maria Island, and what an unexpected gem. The cookies looked amazing, and the sausage, egg, and cheese turnover was excellent. It was warm, flaky, and packed with flavor. What truly stood out was the service. The staff was kind, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome. honestly one of the best bakeries around. food is always phenomenal, especially the pizza rolls. breakfast and lunch items are always fresh. VERY sweet staff that make the experience feel really personalized. the prices are awesome, you get better food for less money. clean, positive, warm atmosphere. and they do gluten free baked goods!!!

What a great spot! We stopped in for some treats while shopping, and were completely floored by the quality of the baked goods. The cookies were so delicious, we loved the texture, flavor, and freshness (right out of the oven!). They are made in small batches, so they are always fresh. The selection was great, we loved the classic peanut butter the best, but it was hard to decide! We also ordered mango lemonade, which was delicious!
