Gateway Subs

Hidden gem of a sub shop. It definitely beats any of the national chains! Stopped around 3pm and service was excellent and attentive. The spicy Italian was great where the warm heat hits after. The Cool Ranch was very good the crushed Doritos added the perfect crunch to the sandwich.

Gateway Subs in the Bradenton / Palmetto area is hands down one of the best sandwich spots around. From the moment you walk in, the service is friendly, welcoming, and fast. You can tell they actually care about their customers. The subs are AMAZING — fresh bread, high-quality meats, generous portions, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. You’re not getting a skimpy sandwich here. Every bite is packed with flavor. It’s hard to find places that are consistent, clean, and still feel locally owned and personal — but Gateway Subs nails it. If you’re anywhere near Bradenton, Palmetto, or Ellenton, this spot is absolutely worth stopping by. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back.

I stopped into Gateway Subs in Ellenton and had one of the best experiences I’ve had at any sandwich shop. The manager was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and clearly takes pride in the place. The service was top‑quality from start to finish, and the sandwiches were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Absolutely worth the stop. Highly recommend.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I got the breakfast wrap and a caramel macciato. Deliciousness! My daughter got the Juicy Treeclimber. Omg sooo good!! I just found my Cheers for subs and all day breakfast sandwiches!

5/5 for staff's friendlessness! Typed in subway on Google maps and ended up here which was a delightful surprise. Tried the cool ranch rider featuring buffalo chicken lunch meat and cool ranch Doritos. Enjoyed the hot peppers as well! Definitely should've gotten the half size because these sandwiches come fully loaded! Thanks for a great, filling lunch
