This place does not take allergies seriously. If you have a food allergy, especially a severe one, I strongly recommend staying far away. I clearly indicated my allergy — it was even printed on the receipt attached to the bag. I am highly allergic and have celiac disease. Before eating the food, I called to confirm it was safe, and I was told it “should be fine.” That was completely incorrect. The item contained gluten. Had I eaten it, I could have ended up in the hospital. To make matters worse, when I contacted the owner, I was told it was my fault for choosing something that had gluten — even though it was not stated anywhere on Uber Eats. The food at Tomatillo Taco Joint is always packed with flavor, and this visit was no exception. The space is clean, spacious, and inviting, with great service to match.
