Tokyo Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar

I'm originally from KC. I live in STL now but came to visit my mom and aunt (twins) for their 71st bday on 12/4. My daughter tagged along with me. I'm a huge sushi lover so googled "sushi near me" and lo and behold, this gem popped up; only 5 mins away. I checked the reviews and when I saw 4.5 out of 5 stars with thousands of reviews, I was SOLD. We pulled up and the "Open" sign was on but there appeared to be no cars in the lot. Unbeknownst to us at the time, we were relieved to find out that the parking lot was on the other side of the building. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were immediately greeted with a smile, and when greeter accommodated our seating preferences without hesitation, we knew we were in for a real treat. I will never stop recommending this place!!! Best sushi in the area and the best service too. No matter if there is only one customer in the building or they are packed the service is always top notch. My husband and I love sushi and this place is always our go to. I also personally believe this restaurant has the best chicken fried rice that exists. The portions are really great and the food is just amazing! Great cocktails too!!

As I am here working in the area and a sushi lover, I decided to give this place a try. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. The service was prompt and courteous. I had an order of 10 pieces and a small roll. I also ordered an additional roll off of the daily specials. The meal came with a simple green salad and soup. I will be back again as it was an enjoyable meal. You should give it a try as well.

My absolute FAVORITE!!! Our friend brought us here for the first time a few months ago and we were both hooked. The atmosphere is great. Love the decor and candles they have at the front desk. The staff are very kind, hard working and fast. The food is phenomenal, I always order the sweet potato rolls, fillet mignon habachi, with fried rice and hot strawberry puree sake. We always leave full, content and satisfied. This is our go to sushi place.You will definitely be back very soon. Thank you for such wonderful service and fantastic food.

We just moved here from Olathe and are checking out spots. This is the second we came too and I already have a favorite and it will be so hard to beat. The food is so much better than any place around Kansas. Hell it's the best I've been to in years. Don't miss a chance to grab a roll or 10.....
