One More Scoop

As a wedding coordinator with The Perfect Touch KC, I have worked with One More Scoop a few different times and they are always great! They show up early, and are always so friendly with guests as they order their ice cream! Highly recommend using them!

Fell in love with the lavender ice cream at the chocolate shop inside Union Station a few years ago. Only recently discovered it's made by One More Scoop, who have two shops of their own - one in Belton, Missouri & one on Vivion Rd north of the river in KC. I was in Belton for something today, so I found the shop & went in. My daughter chose the tiramisu while I had the cranberries & cream. Both flavorful & rich like ice cream. Should be. Several permanent flavors as well as seasonal choices. The shop was a quieter, peaceful experience than Union Station (not to mention much easier parking). Will definitely go back - likely more often than I should.

We went there this past Sunday in the afternoon. There was probably three couples ahead of us. It took over 20 minutes to get served and the ice cream was average. The people behind the counter didn’t seem overly motivated to scoop ice cream and had average customer service skills. I realize they have only been open a month, but this is my perception. this may seem like a harsh review, but this is the only way the owners can get better at what they do is by having feedback.

Delicious handmade ice cream! I enjoyed the peanut butter cup and birthday cake in a chocolate waffle cone. The ice cream is creamy, smooth and so good! The decor of the shop is super cute and there are several tables to eat inside as well as some seating outside. Loved this spot for a sweet treat!

We decided to end our anniversary date with some ice cream. I have a terrible intolerance to tree nuts, so I planned on not having any treats but I wanted to see what they had. They have four dairy-free ice cream options which I should have gone for since I have some minor dairy problems. Then I looked to the left and they listed all of the allergens for each flavor. I was able to easily find something without tree nuts and I didn’t have to feel embarrassed to ask. The one scoop costs $4.50, and it is a generous scoop!! It was a great dessert. I did put 4 stars for the atmosphere because the tables inside were a bit dirty/with crumbs.
