Todd English’s Tuscany at Mohegan Sun is back open after being closed for renovations, and I went right after the reopening on Friday, December 26, 2025. If you’ve missed this place, you’ll be happy to know it came back strong. First, the most important part: the food was excellent. Everything we had tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared—exactly what you want from a spot that’s been a longtime staple at Mohegan. The highlight (and honestly the reason I’ll be back soon) is that they brought back the “Tuscan Table” brunch. For $35 per person, it’s a lot of food and a great value for what you get. We ordered the Chilean bass and pasta. It was okay. We always go here every year. The prices are high and we thought the food would match the price. Disappointed this time. However, the tiramisu and crème brûlée were great.

We had tried to make reservations here a few times before over the past few years and were not successful. So being able to get a reservation for an upcoming visit was eagerly anticipated with excitement, especially considering all the great reviews. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our 5:45pm reservations on a Saturday night. The place was not at all packed, and there was no issue being seated. Great! We had a show at 7pm and made the staff aware. Beautiful setting and an upscale dining experience was anticipated. Our server introduced himself and proceeded to rattle off the 5-7 dishes on the menu that were not available. What? Not his fault but ah, such a bummer. There was only 1 special offered. My wife and I tried it again because of reno and new menu. Stopped going several years now because of less than great impression. But we're overwhelmingly impressed with our food. I had wood fired lamb chops which were excellent. My wife had seared scallops with lobster mashed potatoes. She raved about her meal. Making several comments through the rest of the evening on how much she enjoyed her meal. So for those skeptical of if things have really changed. The inside looks similar but has more lighting. Ambiance is brighter. But food is way better. We will be returning.

Went for Valentine’s Day, with reservations. We waited 20 minutes for someone to greet us after being seated; with not many tables in the restaurant. Food was good. Won’t be coming back due to lack of service, attentiveness and check-ins. My husband waited 20 minutes for a soda refill. I’ve worked in the industry for many years, managing restaurants in Mohegan as well. Can be so much better, service needs an overhaul. Especially for the money you spend- you expect better service.
