The BEST welcoming salsa & chips!! Good food overall - but portion sizes are appropriate for growing teenage boy, not normal healthy adult! My chicken quesadilla(sp?) was delicious but twice as much as I could eat!. Good drinks! No reservations needed usually. Conveniently inside the Sky Casino at Mohegan Sun.

The food wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t the best Mexican food I’ve had. The chimichanga was disappointing . only meat and cheese inside — no toppings . Pretty plain . Overall no one in our party was impressed or super satisfied with their food. What stood out to us was how the sides were handled. We were given one small bowl of rice and one bowl of beans to share among three entrées. In none of the photos I saw nor on the menu does it state that sides are meant to be shared, so this came as a surprise. Our server explained that they now serve the sides “family style” and that we could request more as needed. The food was great and the prices are great. We sat at the bar and had vegetarian fajitas which are not on the menu, but they will make them if you ask. The dessert was Chipotle brownie-amazing. Marisa the bartender is great.

The food was almost perfect. As a Latino, I was expecting more from the Enchiladas. The taquitos were pretty good so was the queso fundido and the dessert. The service was good. We want to go back and try other different dishes.

Our first time at Sol Toro. Our server was excellent and very friendly. We did the Guacamole at the table and was a fun addition to our meal. Everything was delicious. My only small critique is I would have preferred different seating and the whole experience felt a little rushed. Mexican is my favorite food and would highly recommend this restaurant for the food.
