Tocolo Cantina Glen Cove

Taco Cantina in Glen Cove is a great spot that I’ve been to a few times now, and it has been consistently excellent. The food is amazing, the prices are very good, and the staff are always great to deal with. The place also feels clean, new, and well kept, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Ambiance: the spot is beautiful at a good location. Dinner while the holiday festival was happening. Clean bathrooms. Spacious spot. Service: it was 10 of us. Service was good when the waiter was with us…. But they were definitely very slow. We were there 3:10 and left 5:05… Very slow. And they were not busy as we arrived. They got busy as we left…. Food: food was ok. We got the fajita combo for two. Shrimp was delicious. Chicken Dry. Steak had no seasoning. For $50 this plate should come with rice like other Mexican/texmex restaurants offering fajita combos with rice/beans. We got like 4 pieces of steak and 4-5 of chicken and 4 shrimps. Kids like their quesadilla. Drinks were really good. Mojitos and lemonades.

Tocolo in Glen Cove is an absolute gem! I stopped in for their $19 express lunch and was blown away by both the quality and convenience. It’s great for a quick dine-in or takeout. The meal started with fresh warm chips served with flavorful salsa and creamy guacamole that tasted homemade. I chose the steak tacos for my main, and they were perfectly seasoned and tender, paired with double rice that was fluffy and full of flavor. Everything came out quickly but still felt freshly made. The service was friendly and attentive. The modern, relaxed atmosphere made it easy to unwind even during a busy day. Tocolo will definitely my new go-to lunch spot in Glen Cove!

Excellent food. The chicken wings!!!!! The frozen margaritas! OMG the tres leches cake! And our server Phoebe was so accommodating so easy and relaxed and on the ball.. she reminded us just as happy hour was ending to order any more drinks if we want. We all turn to each other 'THAT'S a good sever.

The food was amazing! Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Very aware of gluten free as we had two people with celiacs. Our server Phebe was an absolute joy very up beat and accommodating. Will definitely be going back!
