TLC BBQ @ Brushy Creek

We were excited to try a new bbq place. The people running the place were very nice, the portion size was good, but honestly the bbq needed some work. We got 1 lb beef brisket, a rack of pork ribs and a whole chicken with smoked potato salad and coleslaw. It was enough food to feed 4 adults with some left over. We voted and the consensus was that the coleslaw was good. The meat was Pecan wood forward smokey and a bit dry for our preference.

TLC BBQ in Lucedale is an absolute gem. The brisket sandwiches are incredibly tender and full of flavor, and the baked beans are downright delicious. The smoked potato salad is chef’s kiss—truly something special. The pulled pork sandwich? Oh-so-yummy and perfectly done. And don’t even think about leaving without dessert—the “better than anything” chocolate cake is rich, decadent, and feels like a little slice of heaven. We absolutely love eating here whenever we get the chance. If you’re anywhere near Lucedale, this place is a must!

Amazing ribs!! I am from out of state and I’m staying close by working. I’m glad I stopped here. You cannot make a wrong choice with sticky or dry rub ribs. Beans are delicious, I’ll definitely be back. Also, thank you for representing our Lord with your business!

I grew up coming to this building when it was Davis Quickstop, a true local landmark for generations. So I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical when I heard a BBQ joint was opening up in its place. My wife and I live just a few miles away, and we decided to give it a try. To my surprise, the building hasn’t changed much, and I mean that in the best possible way. The owners even hung photos of the old Davis Quickstop all around the restaurant to honor its history. That meant a lot to me. Now, about the food, the BBQ was literally off the chain! It was so good that my wife made a point to go tell the owners how great it was. Prices were fair, portions were generous, and the owners couldn’t have been any nicer. Great bbq shack. Saw this place on google. Saw the five stars so we pulled in. Not sure 5 stars is enough. My whole bunch went bonkers. There are 7 of us traveling together. Everyone of us was impressed. I get tired of these gentle smoke pitmasters. The real art for a pit master is strong smoke but no bitterness. Just like we do in Texas. This is exactly what they fed us. Thought I was eating at Dyers, or Franklins, or many other Texas trophies. Thank you TLC bbq. Great sides and bbq.
