Rebel Deli & Cafe

We stopped in this adorable town named Lucedale on our way home and found this little gem. Everything was delicious! The grits were great, the club sandwich was the best we’ve had in a long time, and the French toast…divine. Service was excellent and friendly, and the restaurant is beautiful. Stop here when traveling on US98 through Mississippi. You’ll thank us! 😉

AC blasting. Went back to car for jackets. Almost hot squash SOUP would have been delicious to savor but the ambient temp of the space was quickly cooling all. Grilled cheese needs a total tweak - the bread tasteless - dry, but ‘grilled’ it was, just not enough to melt the cheese food slices - not ‘real’ cheese, but the sliced, dollar store product in the box. Not a smidgen of butter to brown or crisp the bread. Suggest you order a grilled cheese BOOK so ya know what it should look like & taste. The re-do on the panini grill was better bread & it did melt the cheese, but still - w/o a buttered crust, totally lacking. Try smoked gouda & provolone with red pepper or fig jam on a quality artisan bread! Husband’s single patty smashburger was excellent although ordered ‘with everything BUT pick

I ordered online, avocado toast, bacon and grits. The toast was 10$ alone. I got a literal raw egg and basically a whole spring mix on top of my avocado and toast. I honestly wasnt going to leave a review but im aggravated, DAYS LATER. I knew i wasnt going to be able to eat the rest of the day and i almost passed out because i didnt get to even barely get eat breakfast. I went there specifically to get avocado toast. Just upsetting is all.

This place is so comfortable and it looks amazing on the inside! Our server was amazing! The food was delicious! And it doesn't break the bank! The presentation of the food is really nice too.
