Tippin's Pies

I have to start this by saying that I typically do not enjoy pecan pie. However, a few weeks ago, my husband brought home a Tippin pecan pie...I was so desperate for something sweet that I gave it a try and WOW! It's absolutely delicious! So delicious that I went out and bought another this week...hands down the best, most buttery tasting pecan pie that I've ever had. The only issue I had is with the price point - $18.99 for a pie is just too much, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 but wow...so delicious. And someone made a negative comment about one of the first ingredients being corn syrup - of course one of the first ingredients is corn syrup! You wouldn't have the gooey deliciousness without it.

I purchased a mini Apple pie from Hen House a few weeks back. The price tag for a mini (not a full pie) was $8.50. I almost had a heart attack at the register. No way a mini pie should cost almost $10. It was average at best too. I wrote Tippins about this yet never even got a response. Typical. I wouldn’t come close to paying that again for basically a bite of pie. Stupid

Worse cherry pie I've ever had. Purchased from Price Chopper in Peculiar, MO. Took all day to thaw and 3 of us tried it and none of us could finish our slices. Hard, nasty crust and strange tasting filling. It wasn't in the frozen section but it and the apple pie were frozen. Hope the apple is better.

Wow Yuck. Got a Tom Thumb Tippin’s Pecan Pie so sweet I could only eat the crust and I love sweets. So I checked the ingredients and lo and behold-first ingredient is corn syrup. Then pecans then flour. The rest are ingredients at less than 2%. I thought about returning it-it was $15.99. Did the grocery store change the recipe?

Absolutely no signs anywhere, but that won't stop the receiving guy from copping an attitude like you're supposed to know which side of the building to deliver to.
