Customer Reviews
They have the best empanadas in town. Their regular empanada is amazing and their pizza but if you’re looking for a chopped cheese and you’re a chopped cheese connoisseur, they have a Dominican chopped cheese with the fried cheese. Oh my God outstanding on the original Kaiser roll so good they’re salty meat outstanding and I said what I said I would drive across the city for that and I have perfect post. Stone is nice Chicharron de Pollo rice and beans and they also make this really fun Dominican poutine. Called yaroua . The service here is elite
Boy oh boy, if you want some good fritura, Tipico56 will not disappoint. My wife and I stopped by last Saturday and upon walking in it indeed felt like a little patio. We ordered La Palangana and man, when I tell you good is an understatement!! Freshly made, customer service was great, they’re going to see us again.
I would like to recommend Tipico56 if you’re looking for a food experience and want to taste the best Dominican food in the area. Not only the emblematic dishes of our culture also the heartwarming service provided by the staff🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴LOVEEEED IT🫶🏻👌🏻
Tipico56 is a gem in the Heights! We ordered the LA PALANGANA and it was incredible, the best yucca fries I’ve ever had (normally I hate them, but these melted in my mouth). The carnitas were so flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the chicharrón was excelente. The morir soñando tasted just like home. Best part? All this food came out in about 10 minutes. Highly recommend if you’re near the Heights!
Tipico56 is hands down the best spot in town for authentic Dominican fritura. The food is flavorful, fresh, and exactly what you’d expect if you were sitting at a fritura stand back home. Beyond the amazing taste, the place itself is so charming. It looks like a little Dominican casita, full of character and warmth, which makes the whole experience feel even more authentic. Definitely a must-visit if you want real Dominican flavor in a cozy, homey setting in Dyckman area
