I don’t know where to start, I personally felt like this is the hidden gem of Mexican food in Union NJ. The employees were friendly and welcoming. We felt at home. Our skepticism about the menu proved us wrong as I took the first bite of the crispy beef tacos. Every meal was filled with different flavors and was beyond perfect. This is a small business in Springfield, and it’s my second time here—once again, a great experience! The quality food, atmosphere, and service are excellent. I had a burrito, and it was absolutely fantastic. When you arrive, they serve you tortillas with salsa and pico de gallo-so good! Their handmade tortillas are a must-try. Plus, there’s a huge parking lot in the back. I love this place—definitely check it out!

7/16/20 - The food here is so good and the people are very friendly. Very authentic, great variety, and hefty portions at a great price. We especially love the tamales, which are served on Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends, but you gotta get 'em early, like lunchtime early, or you might miss out. Can't even tell ya how many times we've ordered since we discovered Tierra Del Sol. Excellent! *Edited 8/10/20 to add pictures*

Great local restaurant with tacos, entrees, quesadillas, and more. I got the grilled steak tacos, added refried beans as a side and then had chips and salsa as an appetizer. The meal was great.

Negative customer staff experience. Very bad food. Old rice and stale refried beans. Shrimp tacos is chopped up tiny and bad flavors. The atmosphere wasn’t very lively and the felt the rice was stale and we spoke with staff and managers but they didn’t want to really talk about it further and exhibited an unfriendly/aggressive demeanor during the conversation. This is unlike other places I’ve experienced where you can talk about anything that didn’t meet expectations and this is common for staff and managers to speak about. Customer service and restaurant places with strong communication usually have more repeat customers. Would not recommend if you are looking for a warm environment and freshly made food that is not dry for Mexican cuisine.
