⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tienda Mexicana Peniel is a place I truly recommend. The food is excellent, fresh, and full of that authentic homemade flavor that keeps you coming back. But the best part is the service: the people here are very kind, always with a smile and ready to help. It’s a place where you feel welcome every time you walk in.

When you enter there is a small grocery area to your right and seating to your left. We had lunch in the summer and it was really warm in the restaurant. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to your table. I ordered shrimp fajitas without the tortillas because of a gluten sensitivity. I felt their prices were expensive. It was over $17 for a shrimp fajita at lunch. I asked for a cup for water and they only have bottled water available for purchase. Their drink machine doesn't have a water dispenser. Because of how food is ordered, delivery to table comes at varying times. When my food was delivered I asked for a side of guacamole. I was told it would cost extra. I reminded him I did not get the tortillas and asked if I could get the guacamole instead. He said

I got 2 steak burrito bowls and a side of chips with cheese it cost $40. The burrito bowls were terrible. Steak was dry mostly lettuce and white rice? One spoonful of crappy Pico. I asked for jalapeño and onion didn't get it. It had no Mexican flavor to it. The cheese sauce was bland and salsa was bland. The service wasnt terrible but it wasnt great. When I called they answered as if I was calling there home. I thought I had the wrong number at first. First time going and won't go back really disappointed. Now I have angry pregnant girlfriend who still wants a burrito bowl Thanks

Good food but it's hard to know how to place your order. You need to go to the counter to order and then sit, they will bring your order to you. You must order everything chips and Salsa is not included with meal, you need to pay for these. This is also a small store where you can buy other items.

Great little spot hidden in Columbia, NC. If you are in the area stop on by. My friends had the chicken tacos. The corn tortillas were delicious and made fresh. I had a taco salad with lingua. It was outstanding as well. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. They had many other meats to choose from as well. A must stop if you are in the area.
