Tidewater Grille

Food was actually pretty good. The only complaint is the Brussel sprouts were super salty. Our waitress was super nice and attentive but everyone was shoved on a back porch area with horrible lighting. They had the whole Inside of the restaurant which confused me on why nobody was getting out in there. The views were decent and we got to see the Amtrak go by a few times.

Hearty, tasty food at this serene, offbeat, enjoyable riverside spot. Large beer selection, old school plates. Delicious crab cakes. Satiable veggies. Down to earth service. Memorable decor and details. Authentic vibes. Easy parking. Definitely go.

I keep trying to like this place, but every time I leave disappointed. It smells old and gross, and looks old and gross. It’s such a great location, if only it had some upgrading done! The drinks were ok-ish, but the food was definitely mediocre. I got a crab cake sandwich and had to pick old/black lettuce off before eating it. My kid didn’t even care for the spaghetti as it was runny sauce with barely any flavor. On the bright side the servers are nice!

You won’t go hungry with the large servings of fish or ribs. Watching the train and water made our meal so pleasant. Kristen was the sweetest server.

Love the location! We were able to sit outside by the water. Great service and everyone was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The issue was the food. The seafood was overcooked. Scallops dish was a little greasy, and the salmon was definitely overcooked. I came here back in April and everything was so delicious. I dont know who was in the kitchen this time but it was not good and pretty bland.
