Vandiver Inn

I would definitely recommend the Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, Maryland!! We planned a wedding there and it was beyond anything we could have hoped! The location is beautiful, the lodging was perfect, the food was delicious, and the staff beyond compare!! Courtney was our Event Coordinator and she made our every dream come true! She and her staff made the day completely worry free! I’d also like to thank Carolyn (and Nick!), Terrie, Nico, and their very own resident actor for their kindness, their hard work, their smiles, and for making everyone feel so comfortable. The Chef was also able to accommodate our gluten free and vegetarian guests! The Vandiver was our first and only venue to visit and we are grateful that we chose to not look any further. Thank you for a completely lovely day!

I had the pleasure of working my first wedding at The Vandiver Inn this year, and the experience was unforgettable. As an event entertainment company owner, this venue had been on my wish list for years—and it absolutely lived up to the anticipation. I’ve worked at many venues, and I can confidently say that Vandiver is one of the most well-rounded event spaces in terms of ownership, staff, cleanliness, and culinary excellence. Paul, the owner, is warm and welcoming, and his wife Susan, the chef, creates hors d’oeuvres and entrées that are both beautifully presented and full of incredible flavor. We stayed in the Lafayette room in one of the houses next to the main inn. It was very spacious and clean . The additional sitting area came in handy as a place to hang out with other family members who were in the room just across the entryway. The main house is beautiful and has been lovingly restored. Snacks and beverages are readily available when checking in and the included breakfast was delicious. We arrived on the first day when heat was required so the rooms needed the heater to be adjusted, but the owner arrived immediately and took are of it. Extremely nice owners, staff and manager. We will definitely be staying here in the future. Great location within easy walking distance of many great restaurants, parks and murals.|Highly recommend the Vandiver Inn!

This is long overdue, but I had my wedding at The Vandiver Inn early last month and it was a complete dream! My family and friends couldn't stop complimenting the beauty of the venue - from the patio and cigar lounge to the front porch bar and gorgeous pavilion for our garden-themed reception. Our coordinator, Ashley, was beyond helpful and even helped with our cakes - she made a red velvet sweetheart cake for my husband and I and it was delicious! She was on it every step of the way, making our quick wedding timeline and process super simple. Day of, she was there, walking through everything, keeping our schedule tight and smooth, and making our wedding that much better. My friends and I stayed at the Vandiver Inn for our friend’s wedding, and we absolutely loved it! The wedding and reception were both absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the John Henry Room, which was perfect for three people — spacious, comfortable, and even had a pull-out couch. It was so roomy that I wish my apartment looked like it! The vibes were fantastic all around, and the staff were wonderful. I’d love to stay here again someday!
