Tides Inn Steak & Seafood

Went for dinner this evening with my husband and children . Fried seafood was AMAZING && our waitress was the absolute best !!! We will definitely be returning soon !! 🥳🥳 portions were huge also! Adding a picture of my leftovers !

If I could give a zero I would! We walked in this place and it was absolutely dirty! Trash all over the floor. The food was horrible and greasy! I ordered oysters and flounder. I’ve never seen flounder that was about an 1/8 of an inch thick. We spent 60 dollars on food that I couldn’t eat. I would advise anyone to go anywhere else but here!

I have been to Tides Inn plenty of times and it just does not seem to have the same quality and service as it once did. I understand a lot of businesses have not recovered or gone back to their pre-Covid days; however, Tides Inn has remained a great place to visit. Until today. The amount of food given, for the cost of the food, seemed low when it used to be so much food you would need to put some on another plate. OAN: we did wait a long time for our food and by the time we received our food we basically were no longer hungry. It wasn’t the same. Maybe today was just an off day. Tides Inn has good people and friendly staff so it is no complaint on them. Just hoping today was an off day.

Summary: The dining experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the price. The fried fish was completely bland with no seasoning, the crab cakes were the worst experienced, and the shrimp had an unnatural, rubbery, frozen-like texture. There was no care in flavor, plating, or execution, showing a lack of passion and quality control. The only acceptable item was the baked potato and even that was better left untouched by anything from the kitchen. Given how hard people are struggling financially, it’s upsetting that a restaurant delivering such low-quality food is still operating. Overall, this was the worst dining experience the reviewer has had in Greensboro, NC.

This placing always have great food. The service is always exceptional. Our favorite waitress left however still a great experience.
