Guisados Homestyle Grill

I had an excellent experience at Guisados! The restaurant was exceptionally clean, welcoming, and offered a wide variety of delicious options. The customer service was truly 10/10 — every staff member was kind, attentive, and made me feel right at home. A highlight of my visit was when the owner personally came out from the kitchen to greet me. He took the time to chat and even offered me some of their homemade mole to try — such a thoughtful and genuine gesture that really stood out. I ordered two menudos and chilaquiles, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chilaquiles, in particular, were outstanding — full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Update for second visit. My wife and I visited for first time this past Monday and we tried the burritos with asada. We were very pleased with the food and the great customer service from the Chef. My wife and I visited for second time and this time we ordered chilaquiles verdes and once again, our food was above expectations. Chef Angel offered us to add a piece of Cecina to our plates and the beef was amazing. The staff is always very friendly.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had. I have eaten at Guisados twice, lunch and dinner. Both times the food and service were fantastic - definitely try the lunch plates of rice, beans, and a meat stew. The ingredients are fresh, the food cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the lamb with vegetables last night and was very pleased with the recommendation. The food here is much more than tacos and burritos. I spoke with the owner at length last night and he is passionate about authentic southern Mexican cuisine. There is a reason that this place has over 100 five star reviews!

Excellent customer service. Very attentive and friendly atmosphere. Even the chef came out to check if we were satisfied with our meal! We definitely will be going back again. Hidden ge.

Both the steak and the chicken meals were very tender with lots of flavor. A very unassuming place, but you can tell they make their food with love. A hidden GSO gem for sure.
